Objects are the hidden stories in our history. They function almost like anecdotes, which in a surprising way give a very close look into a time spectrum of our history.
With Hidden Stories, I am looking for objects that reveal hidden pages of our history, by solving the mystery behind it, by giving it more clarity. I depict these stories in the form of animations, so that the story behind them gets more attention, and thus also giving heritage a larger support base for a wider audience.
The animation 'Het Wonder van Woensel' is made as a pilot in accordance with Erfgoed Brabant and wis also used as a pilot for Hidden Stories.
In 'Wonder van Woensel' we follow the timeline of a Maria statue, that seems to be more than just an ordinary statue. The hidden stories that are part of this object reveal hidden layers of the history around us.
